Sound familiar?

Built around the RFQ problems you actually deal with

RFQs arrive as drawings, CAD notes, emails and spreadsheets. Turning that lot into a priced quotation takes hours — and one missed tolerance or setup can wipe out the margin on the whole batch.

Time lost to quoting admin

You shouldn't need an evening with a spreadsheet every time an RFQ lands.

  • Drawings, STEP/DXF files and emails all over the place
  • Cut lists and BOMs rebuilt by hand for every enquiry
  • Machine time, setup and finishing priced from memory
  • Slow turnaround — the work goes to whoever quotes first

Margin lost through missed details

Small misses on a drawing turn into scrap, remakes and jobs that run at a loss.

  • Tooling, setup and changeovers left off the price
  • Material yield, offcuts and scrap not allowed for
  • Tight tolerances and inspection underpriced
  • Finishing, packaging and delivery forgotten until dispatch
How it works

See how Tibr builds your manufacturing quote

Start with the RFQ you've got — drawings, notes, part counts. Tibr structures it into a clear quotation you can review, edit and send.

  1. 1. Describe the job.Talk or type — parts, materials, quantities, processes. Paste the RFQ notes.
  2. 2. It asks the right questions. The gaps a good estimator checks — tolerances, finish, batch sizes, material certs.
  3. 3. Review every line.Itemised on your own rates — material, machine time, labour, setup. Adjust anything.
  4. 4. Send a pro PDF.Clean, itemised, customer-ready — scope, assumptions, exclusions and lead time in writing.
Nothing missed

Quote with the details that protect your margin

Tibr helps you structure the parts of a manufacturing quotation that are easy to miss when you're pricing from a drawing and a deadline.

Materials & cut lists

Plate, bar, tube and sheet — with yield, offcuts and scrap allowed for, not guessed.

Machine & labour time

Cycle times, programming and hands-on hours — the whole job, not just cutting time.

Tooling & setup

Jigs, fixtures, changeovers and first-off checks — priced in, not given away.

Finishing & coating

Powder coat, paint, anodising, plating, galvanising, heat treatment — line-itemed.

Tolerances & inspection

Tight tolerances, inspection and certs cost money — remakes cost more.

Batch quantities & breaks

Price by batch size so one-offs and repeat runs both make sense.

Lead times & delivery

Realistic lead time, packaging and delivery — stated on the quote, in writing.

Assumptions & exclusions

Free-issue material, design changes, site work — clear before the PO, not after.

Any RFQ

Work manufacturers and fabricators quote with Tibr

Custom fabrication & welding

Frames, brackets, balustrades, structural steelwork — material, weld time and finish all costed.

Machined parts & one-offs

Turned and milled components to drawing — setup, programming and inspection in the price.

Sheet metal & cutting

Laser and plasma cutting, folding, forming, punching — nesting and offcuts allowed for.

Batch production & OEM work

Repeat runs and OEM parts with quantity breaks, so every batch size carries its margin.

Assemblies & sub-assemblies

Multi-part assemblies with BOMs, bought-in parts, outside processes and final assembly — structured so nothing hides in the total.

Weld time, consumables and finishing — the lines that leak margin when they're priced from memory.

Typical sections covered: materials & cut lists · machining & fabrication · welding & forming · tooling & setup · finishing & treatments · assembly · inspection & certs · packaging & delivery · lead time & commercial terms.

You stay in charge

Tibr helps build the quote. You make the final call.

Tibr structures the detail, but you review, edit and approve everything before it goes to the customer.

You stay in control

Check every quotation before it's sent — you send it, not the software.

Edit before sending

Adjust wording, quantities, rates or scope on any line.

Use your pricing

Built on your machine rates, labour rates and material costs — never invented prices.

Clear assumptions & exclusions

Tolerances, free-issue material and lead times stated, so there's no argument later.

FAQs
Can Tibr handle multi-level BOMs and assemblies?
Yes. Break a quotation into assemblies, sub-assemblies and parts, with bought-in items and outside processes as their own lines.
How are tolerances and inspection handled?
Tibr asks about tolerances, inspection and certificates while you build the quote, so tight work is priced properly and stated in writing.
Can we price by batch size with quantity breaks?
Yes. Price the same parts at different batch quantities so one-offs and repeat runs both carry their setup and margin.
Does it cover outside services and finishes?
Yes. Powder coat, paint, anodising, plating, galvanising and heat treatment go on the quote as their own lines, at your rates.
What does the customer receive?
A clean, itemised PDF quotation with scope, assumptions, exclusions and lead time — reviewed and approved by you before it's sent.
